The Brad St. Louis Foundation -  Helping Develop a Healthier Generation

I’ve had a passion for health since I was a kid. Growing up, my dad was very health conscious, as two previous male generations had died from heart attacks at age 52. After having two kids of my own its easy to see the correlation between our culture and the health of our kids. I believe that if society doesn’t change, this generation will be the first to live sicker and die younger than their parents’ generation.

Nearly 25 million kids and teens in the United States are overweight or obese, making childhood obesity one of the most urgent and serious health threats challenging our country. It affects every race and ethnic group, all income levels and every area of the nation, so it will require all of us working together to turn it around.

Michelle and I want to use our Foundation to raise awareness of this critical issue affecting our kids today. We hope to see the obesity epidemic reversed and replaced by a culture of health. Our Foundation will work to promote healthy eating and living in homes, schools and camps. We want to give families better access to healthy choices, making it easier for kids to eat well and move more.

We plan to raise awareness through fundraisers that involve families getting active. We’ll plan camps and work alongside local programs that will impact the health of the kids in our community.

Administration 

The Brad St. Louis Foundation is administered by the Servant Christian Community Foundation (SCCF). www.servantchristian.com

SCCF also works with other professional athletes and helps administer hundreds of foundations, providing each with oversight, accountability and assistance. SCCF is affiliated with the National Christian Foundation, which is considered one of the country’s most efficient charities. SCCF’s vision is to “create a culture of generosity.”
